Around the Company in Pictures: Phoenix Heart Walk

April 9, 2025 - Nearly 200 Freeport employees, family and friends walked alongside thousands of participants in the American Heart Association’s 2025 Phoenix Heart Walk, helping raise funds and awareness for heart disease one step at a time.
The Freeport team, led for the fourth consecutive year by Dan Kravets, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer – himself a survivor – has raised more than $53,000 from this year’s walk. That total places Freeport second among 453 teams participating in the event. All told, more than $1.4 million has been raised by all the participants.
The Heart Walk plays a vital role in combating heart disease, as nine out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside of the hospital do not survive, according to the American Heart Association. In many of these cases, bystander CPR was not performed.
Contributions to the Heart Walk help fund research and training initiatives to increase awareness in proper lifesaving CPR. As a commitment to the cause, walkers were encouraged and invited to participate in free CPR training during the Heart Walk.
